The twentieth edition of the Escenarios del Mundo International Performing Arts Festival runs October 1-14. Artists and companies from nine countries participate alongside Ecuadorian performers. The programme extends beyond Cuenca's principal theatres and cultural venues into surrounding communities, continuing the international and community-focused approach the festival has developed over two decades.
